Brand New

As we fast approach the end the Naughties, we are celebrating Trimega’s phenomenal growth over the last 4 years with something new. Trimega’s new brand / brand architechture is our effort to highlight the values associated with choosing Trimega as a preferred provider over other substance misuse testing services. There is a clear distinction between a TrimegaTest and other tests in the market and we wanted this to be reflected through our brand.

Mixmag & Cocaine Torch

After a four year absence, the influential Mixmag Drug Survey is back. According to Mixmag it’s where “the world goes to find out real people’s attitudes to and experience of drugs… used by doctors, academics and even governments around the world to influence policies and inform their decisions.” Meanwhile more and more clubbers are coming face to face with the ‘Cocaine Torch’ that illuminates any traces of the drug on skin or clothing as bright green ultraviolet light.

National Business Awards

Flying the flag for substance misuse testing – and in particular Hair Alcohol Testing – Avi Lasarow of Trimega Laboratories is on tonight’s shortlist for Entrepreneur of the Year at the National Business Awards where Alistair Darling, Chancellor of the Exchequer, is keynote speaker.

Poachers turn gatekeepers

Now here’s an interesting scheme in which ex-offenders are helping to rehabilitate prison leavers by literally meeting them at the gates on release and acting as a bridge between them and housing and drugs services. With two of the biggest barriers to rehabilitation being longterm drug and alcohol misuse, the scheme has almost trebled the rate of those going into work or training on release. As part of our corporate sponsorship of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme we visit young offenders institutions – most recently Hunterscombe – to see first-hand the importance of alcohol and drug free rehabilitation and how testing can play an important role in this.
