Armed with facts on how many units there are in drinks and methods to calculate how many units are being consumed, the government’s Know Your Limits campaign revealed last week that drinkers are losing valuable sleep as a result of excessive alcohol consumption. 2,000 drinkers were surveyed by YouGov in that more than 50% did not know there was a link between alcohol and restless sleep.

Know your Limits – campaign against binge drinking
The Know your Limits’ campaign was launched by the government on Monday to tackle binge drinking. The recommended alcohol limits for women and men, respectively, are no more than 2-3 units a day and no more than 3-4 units a day. The Department of Health are working with Cancer Research UK, The British Heart Foundation and The Stroke Association to promote the harm that regular alcohol consumption can cause.
