Sir Liam Donaldson, the chief medical officer, has attacked the “laissez-faire” attitude that parents have towards their children’s drinking, saying that people who exposing children to drink-fuelled events and allow teenagers to drink alcohol with their friends without parental supervision are storing up problems.
